Armistice Day will take place on Saturday 11th November 2023 held annually on the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month.

We pause to remember those who have lost their lives in two world wars and other conflicts around the world. Remembrance Day will be on Sunday 12th November. The Royal British Legion is at the heart of a national network that supports our Armed Forces community. Remembrance Day (sometimes known informally as Poppy Day owing to the tradition of the remembrance poppy) is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth member states since the end of the First World War to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty. For the 2023 Poppy Appeal, the Royal British Legion has introduced a new plastic-free poppy, made entirely from paper. Maintaining the iconic poppy design and leaf shape, this is the first time in 28 years that a new poppy has been developed.
