Selby Leisure Centre

Selby’s brand new leisure centre, which has been part-funded by a £2m Sport England grant, was officially opened by Rebecca Adlington on Saturday 21st March 2015. A Civic Ceremony and plaque unveiling by the Olympian marked the completion of the £7m project.

Selby Leisure Centre is a first rate facility which has two swimming pools – a training pool and a six-lane 25m pool. The facility also includes a health and fitness centre with dedicated changing facilities.

Using the Marathon Conform cubicle system, originally designed for the London 2012 Aquatic Centre, with laminate wet use lockers, the changing areas have the latest in modern laminate cubicle design with the robustness as required for a high traffic public use facility.
